Momme is a unit used to measure the weight of silk fabric. At 22 momme, silk has a substantial feel, valued for its body, drape and suppleness. Durability also depends on the quality of the fibres, the garment’s construction and how it is cared for.
Mulberry silk is valued for its lightness, breathability and soft feel. Silk pyjamas can offer comfortable wear across different seasons, with a distinct feel compared with cotton or flannel nightwear.
How warm you feel depends on your bedroom temperature, the fabric’s thickness, the fit and your personal preferences.

A mulberry silk pajama set requires delicate care to preserve its softness and luster over time. Momme alone does not determine quality. Fibre quality, construction and finishing details also matter.
What is the difference between silk and satin?
Silk is a natural fibre, while satin describes a type of weave. A satin fabric may therefore be made from silk, polyester or other fibres.
Looking at the fibre composition is the most reliable way to understand what you are buying. The description 100% mulberry silk identifies the material itself rather than simply its appearance.
